About the Role
We are looking for a resourceful and detail-driven HR Generalist to support company-wide HR operations. This in-office role blends day-to-day processes with strategic initiatives that enhance employee experience and organizational efficiency. You’ll work directly with the Senior Director of HR and partner with field and corporate teams on everything from onboarding to payroll support to compliance. Responsibilities
Own and manage the employee lifecycle: onboarding, benefits, changes, terminations Maintain and audit employee records in ADP Workforce Now Assist with payroll processing; serve as backup to Payroll Administrator Manage Workers’ Compensation claims and coordination with carrier Administer leaves of absence (FMLA, CFRA, ADA) across multiple states Respond to employment verifications, EDD/unemployment claims, and hearings Support performance tracking, employee relations, and documentation Track 30-60-90-day onboarding milestones and ensure engagement Monitor HR compliance deadlines and assist with policy updates Run reports, maintain trackers, and support special projects Help lead HR initiatives in training, wellness, and engagement Qualifications
5+ years of HR experience across payroll, benefits, compliance, LOA, and WC Experience supporting a multi-state, hourly/salaried workforce Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now preferred Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and attention to detail Approachable, collaborative, and comfortable handling sensitive issues Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field required PHR or SHRM-CP a plus Additional Requirement
