Community Mortgage Lending Officer SAFE Act - SAN FRANCISCO. This entry-level role drives mortgage sales and client relationships through engagement with community clients, diverse real estate agents, and affordable housing nonprofit partners in coordination with the Consumer Product Sales team. The role is responsible for selling a specific product or product set directly to clients. Responsibilities

Consult with customers about their financial situation, objectives and lending needs to help them achieve home ownership goals. Collect and analyze information about the customer’s financial situation, goals, risk tolerance, plans, income, assets, debts, cash flow, and credit history. Analyze financial information to assess whether the customer and property may qualify for a lending solution. Recommend lending solutions that best meet the customer’s objectives. Advise customers on the consequences, risks, and benefits of alternative lending solutions. Promote Citi’s brand and Citi lending and other financial solutions to real estate agencies, builders, referral sources, and customers. Visit customers outside of Citi’s offices, with visits varying based on clientele, geography, market conditions, and other factors. Collaborate with internal partners to support and grow customer relationships. Refer customers seeking other financial services to the appropriate Citi professionals. Partner with Operations to ensure seamless loan application flow and provide needed information to Processors and Underwriters. Work with Processors/Closers and customers to ensure timely loan closings. Develop key referral relationships (Realtors, CPAs, Builders, etc.) to drive mortgage business into the bank. Assess risk in business decisions, uphold Citi’s reputation and assets, comply with laws and policies, practice ethical conduct, and escalate/control issues with transparency. Introduce clients to segment partners when appropriate (e.g., Bank, Wealth Management, Small Business, Cards). Keep informed about local market trends and regulatory changes; expand networks to better serve clients and professionals. Attend a minimum of 2–3 diverse realtor and/or affordable housing nonprofit events per month. Originate a minimum of 3 loans per month with at least 50% CRA-eligible or within minority tracts. Qualifications

2–5 years relevant experience Residential Mortgage experience required 3+ years mortgage sales experience required Established relationships with diverse realtor organizations and affordable lending nonprofits Experience with community loan products including LMI solutions, lender-paid assistance programs, and 3rd-party programs Established book of business FHA/VA & conventional loan experience preferred Ability to comprehend and explain financial calculations and pricing alternatives Ability to communicate required documents and information for loan applications Knowledge of consumer lending laws and regulations including fair lending, privacy, and RESPA Demonstrated customer service skills Self-motivated and able to work independently Strong relationship development and management skills General lending product and mortgage industry knowledge Must register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry and obtain a unique identifier before engaging in MLO activities Origination of minimum 3 loans per month with a mix meeting CRA/minority tract criteria Education

In addition to salary, Citi may include incentive and retention awards.
