Provost's Distinguished Faculty Fellow and Assistant Professor in the history of the Persianate World, Department of History, Georgetown University. Tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in August 2026.

Responsibilities
Teach two courses per semester at undergraduate and graduate levels, including courses that fulfill General Education requirements.
During the first year, hold the title of Provost's Distinguished Faculty Fellow with no teaching or service responsibilities, allowing a dedicated focus on research with mentorship from senior faculty.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in History is required prior to appointment start date.
Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and research.
Appointment Details Proposed salary range:
$103,678.00/yr – $115,281.00/yr. This range represents the full anticipated compensation; actual compensation is determined by candidate qualifications and University factors.
