Nurse Practitioner – Hematology and Medical Oncology (IP) role at Beacon Health System. Locations include South Bend, Granger, Elkhart, Bremen, and LaPorte, Indiana. What You’ll Do
Build professional relationships within the hospital to bridge multidisciplinary care for patients in the hospital setting. Work closely with a collaborating physician to improve decision-making for patients in the outpatient clinic. Conduct assessments, interpret diagnostics, and develop individualized treatment plans. Manage acute and long-term oncology care, including treatment monitoring and patient education. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and mentor healthcare professionals. Support protocol development, quality improvement, and outcome tracking. What We’re Looking For
Education: MSN (preferred) & accredited NP program completion. Experience: 2+ years in oncology nursing or comparable NP internship preferred. License: Active RN & NP certification in Indiana with prescriptive authority (or within 6 months). Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) certification or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred to support Commission on Cancer accreditation. Driven individuals with a passion to advance oncology practices. Skills: Strong clinical judgment, EMR proficiency, and excellent communication. Working Conditions
