The position will remain open until filled. There are currently two dentist positions available, including one that is 30-40 hours per week and located at our Lowell School Clinic. The other position is 40 hours per week. Partnership Health Center (PHC) is in the process of separating from Missoula County, with completion expected by year end. Employee benefits may change starting January 1, 2026; final details are not yet available. Future benefits are expected to remain comparable in value and scope to current offerings. Provides comprehensive and emergency dental care for PHC patients, including at satellite clinics; ensures quality dental services; represents PHC to the Missoula Dental community.
Provides dental services including dental screenings, preventative education, diagnosis, basic restorative dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and emergency care. Ensures appropriate referrals for patients. Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records using standard SOAP format and timely billing and coding for billable visits. Adheres to HIPAA, NCQA, and PHC peer review standards. Participates in training of volunteers and staff for the dental clinic. Attends PHC staff and clinic meetings and serves as a leadership model for PHC’s mission and philosophy. Participates in quality assurance reviews and patient chart audits with the Dental Director. Maintains expertise and certification, including completion of required hours of CDE (Continuing Dental Education). Assists in educating the PHC team and partners on best practices for delivering healthcare in non-traditional settings. Other Duties
May attend PHC Board meetings as needed. Performs related work and provides coverage at satellite locations when requested. Supervision

Under the general administrative direction of the PHC Chief Medical Officer and the general dental supervision of the PHC Dental Director. Supervision Exercised:
May supervise dental personnel as directed by the Dental Director; may supervise students during rotations. Working Relationships
Works with the public seeking dental care; collaborates with PHC and community health care providers, dental volunteers, all PHC staff, and other Health Department employees. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge:
Extensive knowledge of current dental best practices, dental quality assurance systems, and NCQA requirements for dental clinics. Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance and PHC Corporate Compliance Guidelines. Skills:
Skill in diagnosis and treatment of dental problems; skill in endodontics, surgical extractions, and denture fabrication. Abilities:
Ability to support PHC’s mission and provide culturally sensitive care. Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with the Missoula dental community. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse individuals and groups. Education:
DDS/DMD degree from an accredited dental school and current Montana dental license with no licensure suspension or disciplinary action. Requires current Healthcare Professional BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Must be eligible for malpractice/liability coverage. Special Requirements:
Subject to criminal background check with fingerprinting. Immunizations or proof of immunity to specified diseases and a TB test required. New employees may be asked to disclose vaccination status and may receive assistance to obtain required immunizations. Accommodation available where required. Travel to PHC satellite locations (including Seeley Lake) may be required. This position is not eligible for remote work. Work may involve exposure to biohazards and travel to mobile care settings as needed; may require working in restricted areas with high patient flow.
