Description This Job description outlines the role of the Director of Supply Chain. This position reports to the Regional Director Supply Chain or Market Director Supply Chain, with dotted line responsibility to the facility Vice President of Finance, and/or the facility CFO. The Director of Supply Chain provides ministry organization and direction for the advancement of the Supply Chain process for CHRISTUS. In coordination with the Regional Director Supply Chain, responsibilities include facility-specific oversight on supply management process improvements. The role includes development and maintenance of workflow assessments, quality assurance, contract implementation, data management, Supply Chain system policy and procedure development/maintenance, and Associate career development. The role collaborates with ministry financial leadership to develop supply chain strategies that meet System goals. Responsibilities
Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Support Regional Director Supply Chain or Market Director Supply Chain in establishing the strategic direction of Supply Chain across the region. Lead ministry-based teams in the identification, development and implementation of facility-wide improvement initiatives that deliver clinical, operational, and/or financial improvements. Work with ministry leadership to track and manage facility-based staff productivity. Work with ministry leadership to track and manage facility-based operational performance. Maintain knowledge of the most up-to-date Supply Chain Management processes. Lead the process development of the Supply Chain Logistics functions within the assigned ministry to include support with human resource management, logistics and operational process standardization, facility service agreements, maintenance agreements, capital and construction. Ensure programs are in place to comply with HIPAA, OIG Vendor Compliance, Vendor Integrity, Recalls and Alerts or other regulatory system requirements. Facilitate the accuracy and timeliness of item issues, returns, transfers, and adjustments of inventory within the Supply Chain applications and Infor CloudSuite Financials & Supply Management ERP system. This will be done by monitoring reports and metrics, ensuring guidelines are adhered to and response times are met. Collaborate in the long-term strategic planning process and ensure timely and thorough plan execution with continuous process improvement related to Supply Chain routines. Participate in the Supply Chain Value Analysis Team meetings, coordinate System-wide product conversions, communicate contract changes and maintain CHRISTUS HEALTH Core Values. Provide all required support for recommended supply fill rates and PAR levels. Act as the ministry supply chain champion to collaborate with other clinical and ancillary departments to assure all customer-related concerns are resolved timely and contractual commitments are achieved according to preset launch dates. Be well versed in the use of MS Office Suite/Materials Management Applications. Demonstrate analytical and quantitative thinking. Apply business planning skills, including cost impact analysis. Communicate effectively; listen well. Ability to teach and educate associates. Balance facility, regional, and system needs. Deal effectively with people, including in highly emotional states. Write reports and correspondence. Solve complex problems and manage a variety of concrete variables in situations. Demonstrate leadership, human relations skills, problem solving, and decision making. Performs other duties as assigned by the Regional Director Supply Chain/Market Director Supply Chain and Ministry Leadership. Education/Skills
Bachelor’s degree in a business curriculum or a high school diploma with 6 years of experience in a supply chain related role. High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience
Required 4 years of supervisory experience with a proven track record of completion of progressive tasks and responsibilities. 5-6 years of supply chain experience strongly. Recommended 6-7 years of relevant work experience. Knowledge and experience working in ERP systems with a preference for Infor and Epic. Experience initiating large projects and seeing them to completion with a successful outcome. Experience developing and writing policies and procedures. General medical product and equipment knowledge required. Hospital supply chain experience in an acute care setting. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
