Join to apply for the RN Emergency Department role at CommonSpirit Health Job Summary and Responsibilities: As an ED Nurse, you’ll work in a fast-paced environment, assess traumatic situations quickly and calmly, apply sound judgment, and act under pressure. You’ll begin shifts by taking report from a nursing teammate before rounds, provide continued care, and perform procedures per the care plan. You’ll evaluate and prioritize patients quickly based on medical necessity and contribute to process improvement and care delivery improvements. About Us: Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is a 336-bed non-profit teaching facility serving Seattle, WA. We are part of CommonSpirit Health, which operates 137 hospitals and more than 1,000 care sites across 21 states. Our Emergency Department is designated and certified as a Primary Stroke Center. We have 22 ED beds and see an average of 80 patients per day. Responsibilities Include: Quickly assess and prioritize care based on trauma for all patient populations Stabilize patients needing emergency care Work with an experienced, supportive team of emergency professionals including emergency physicians, other emergency-trained nurses, licensed radiologists, and certified laboratory technologists Demonstrate a passion for excellence in emergency medicine If you are committed to social justice, health equity, and delivering care in new, innovative ways, you belong with us. Current WA State RN license is required Recent RN experience with acute care patients CPR certification required every two years or as specified by the work Other certifications may be required for specialty areas Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing Quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire; ongoing competency required through facility resources Virginia Mason offers compensation and benefits, continuing education opportunities, relocation assistance options, and a Pacific Northwest locale. $47.12 - $79.59 /hour
