is looking for a

. Responsibilities

Performs CT scans and obtains high quality radiographs on all patients during their shift, ensuring image quality before release and applying radiation protection measures in accordance with departmental policies. Ensures STAT/Wet Read x-rays are presented to radiologist when on site; when radiologist is not on site, makes the x-rays available for review and notifies the hospitalist of availability. Ensures STAT/Wet Read CT scans are given to radiologist when on site and sent to NightHawk/Vrad when radiologist is not on site or on call. Maintains equipment in proper working order; informs appropriate personnel promptly when equipment requires repair; performs QC testing as necessary. Transports patients to and from X-Ray and CT rooms as required. Assists patients onto CT machine or x-ray table and positions them correctly. Utilizes all equipment permitted within the scope of their license and training; delivers assessment, treatment and patient care appropriate to the ages of the patients served. Demonstrates customer service through respect, flexibility, knowledge, confidence, professionalism, pleasant attitude, patience and helpfulness; responses are timely, professional, caring, and respectful in accordance with Customer Service Performance expectations. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards; identifies gaps and contributes to policy development as needed. Understands and adheres to the Medical Center's Code of Conduct and is familiar with the Medical Center's Mission, Vision and Values Statements. Other duties as assigned. Position Qualifications

Education : Graduation from an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology; ARRT; Advanced registry in CT preferred. Licensure : Current NJ license as a Registered Radiologic Technologist; American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required. Experience : One to two years of experience in Radiologic Technology required with one year of CT experience. Skills : Good interpersonal skills; speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position. Job Setting/Physical Demands : Radiology department, CT suite; contact with patients and staff. Lifts, positions, and/or transfers patients. Frequent prolonged standing. Salary and Benefits

Salary commensurate with experience within posted range. JP1 (16 HOURS PER MONTH MINIMUM) $45.00 PER HOUR.
