Our client is seeking a highly motivated

Bioinformatics Software Engineer

to help develop a next-generation computational platform for antibody-based therapeutic design and assessment. In this contractor role, you will focus on building scalable infrastructure for molecular modeling, developability assessment, and interactive data visualization. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of software engineering, bioinformatics, and therapeutic design, contributing to impactful research in the biotech space. Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, web-based interfaces for antibody and multispecific modeling workflows. Develop and optimize database schemas for managing molecular modeling data and metadata. Build and maintain

FastAPI-based backend services

to support computational pipelines. Integrate molecular modeling tools (e.g., MOE, Schrödinger) into automated workflows. Collaborate with scientists and data scientists to translate research needs into robust software solutions. Ensure code quality through modular design, documentation, and maintainability. Support platform deployment and testing in

cloud-based environments . Required Qualifications

Master’s or PhD in

Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Physics , or related field with 2–3 years of experience. Experience with cloud platforms ( AWS, GCP ) and containerization ( Docker ). Proficiency in

Python , with hands-on experience in

FastAPI, SQL/NoSQL databases , and modern web frameworks. Experience building automated computational pipelines for scientific applications. Understanding of protein structure, antibody design, or biophysics (a plus). Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with molecular modeling tools (MOE, Schrödinger, or similar). Knowledge of antibody engineering and developability assessment. Prior experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry settings. Seniority level
