Be part of something big. The Pearl Harbor Dry Dock Replacement program is one of the largest and most complex federal construction projects ever undertaken in Hawaiʻi. We are seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join the foundations and heavy civil team, focusing on pile driving, shoring, excavation, dewatering, and large-scale marine concrete scopes. Key Responsibilities

Foundation & Civil Work Oversight: Manage all aspects of pile driving operations, including pile logs, testing, alignment, and as-built documentation. Track installation quantities and ensure conformance with NAVFAC and project specifications. Support field teams in shoring, excavation, dewatering, and marine concrete operations. Engineering & Documentation

Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs for rebar, formwork, cofferdams, and structural support systems. Maintain accurate QC documentation, including concrete breaks, load tests, rebar inspections, and density reports. Ensure compliance with three-phase QC standards for federal construction. Project Controls & Scheduling

Coordinate sequencing of pile driving, concrete pours, and excavation activities with subcontractors. Track production, equipment utilization, and labor against critical path schedules (Primavera P6 or MS Project). Identify schedule or budget risks and support corrective action planning. Field Coordination

Work closely with superintendents, subcontractors, divers, and inspectors to resolve field challenges. Provide technical support during pile driving, shoring, and concrete placement. Communicate effectively with designers, consultants, and government representatives. Safety & Compliance

Enforce strict adherence to OSHA, EM 385-1-1, and NAVFAC safety protocols. Support hazard analyses, toolbox talks, and compliance monitoring. Ensure environmental controls are in place during dewatering and marine operations. Expectations

Balance field engagement with office coordination to keep crews productive and documentation accurate. Anticipate challenges unique to deep foundations and waterfront conditions. Deliver precise, timely reporting for Navy inspectors and compliance teams. Maintain a proactive, solution-oriented approach to engineering and construction challenges. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline. 6+ years of experience in heavy civil, marine, or foundation projects. Technical knowledge of pile driving, shoring, dewatering, and marine concrete. Familiarity with federal construction standards (NAVFAC/USACE) and EM 385-1-1. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Primavera P6 scheduling experience. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
