Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
Principal/Supervising Civil Engineer
to join our team. This role involves completing a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments within one discipline. The position is HYBRID and requires a minimum of 2 days in the office per week. Responsibilities
Performs complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately. Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings. Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs. Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Interacts with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments on a regular basis. Prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials. Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents. Provides technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Required Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 8+ years of related work experience. Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required. Potential to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and familiarity with industry practices and regulations are required. Experience in Civil Infrastructure to include site design, roads, site grading and drainage, utilities, stormwater design on US Government projects. Proficiency in Civil 3D is desired. Desired Skills
