Field Engineer II
in New York.
Responsibilities
Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen and Crews on project deliverables.
Process and manage material deliveries; ensure materials received are inspected for quantity and quality and comply with contract documents.
Manage and negotiate subcontractor and material contracts.
Assist in developing and updating the project schedule.
Coordinate and schedule shop drawings and submittals.
Maintain a complete and current record of submittals, approvals and resubmittals, including letters of transmittal and dates of each transaction.
Participate in cost control system operations and analysis of construction costs.
Participate in monthly forecasting of revenue and cost accruals.
Accumulate data and prepare monthly pay estimates.
Process and estimate change orders and requests for information as directed by the Project Manager.
Follow OHLA USA policies and procedures, including safety policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
3+ years of heavy civil construction experience
Understanding of construction methodologies
NYCT experience is a plus
MS Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Abilities
Communication: effective and clear verbal and written communication
Independent/Collaborative team member: able to take direction and work in a team environment
Time management: meets deadlines and is well organized
Willingness to perform tasks in both field office capacity and at the project site
