Territory Sales Manager - Metabolics & Ketogenics, West Job Locations:

Our ultimate goal is to help make the next generation healthier than this one. We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Medical Nutrition Sales Specialist to join our team in California. The primary focus of this role will be promoting and selling our specialized nutritional products designed for the medical ketogenic diet and Inborn errors of metabolism. This role is fully remote with the opportunity to work from a home office. The West territory covers CA, OR, and WA with remote coverage for NV, and HI Responsibilities

Territory Management

Build partnerships with key customers and accounts. Promote Nutricia products and services with understanding of access, coverage, and fulfillment for state selling strategies. Collaborate with regional DME and distribution partners to increase sales; work with Market Access and external suppliers/providers as needed. Conduct consultative selling and promote products to medical practitioners (physicians, dietitians, nurses) and plan in-services, regional meetings, and related activities to drive brand growth. Represent Nutricia at industry trade shows when beneficial for the territory. Develop strategic partnerships with home health care/DMEs and local entities to grow brands in the region; facilitate Metabolic & Ketogenic consumer events.

Business Planning

Develop a strategic territory business plan focusing on access, coverage, and fulfillment; review quarterly and as directed. Provide analytic insight into territory data, issues, and opportunities using available resources. Manage annual budget for territory activities and programs; deliver quarterly/bi-annual business reviews with key partners.

Account Management

Identify opportunities requiring a multifunctional team approach; serve as main point of contact for assigned accounts. Develop sales strategies and partnerships with key customers and centers, including events and business reviews.

Administration

Utilize CRM tools (SalesForce.com, Veeva) to document contacts; monitor sales results with Power BI. Provide Quarterly Business Reviews and submit expense reports per policy; manage territory sample budget and expenses. Coordinate field ride-alongs and plan visits at least 2 weeks in advance to maximize selling efforts within policy guidelines.

Miscellaneous responsibilities

Communicate product benefits accurately to health care professionals and clients using persuasive sales techniques. Attend corporate and regional meetings; report client problems and escalate as appropriate. Identify, plan, create, and manage sales events including Consumer Events and Local/Regional Trade Shows as needed.

Training and Other

Successfully complete ongoing product and methodology training; perform other duties as assigned.

Working conditions

The job is remote from a home-based office with up to 50% domestic overnight travel. It involves telephone and computer use and periodic travel to interface with customers. Occasional weekend travel or work for company meetings, trade shows, and patient events. Some lifting of products up to 30 lbs may be required. Success factors

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $115,000 USD. The exact salary offered depends on experience, location, internal equity, and market conditions. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; 5+ years of sales experience in pharmaceutical, nutrition, or medical equipment (DME/HHC) industry, or 5+ years of clinical healthcare experience in offices, hospitals, DME/HHC, or medical facilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools; excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong organizational and time management skills; must reside in the assigned territory. Preferred experience: working with neurologists, epileptologists, keto centers; established network in neurology/Epilepsy communities; background in medical nutrition or related field. Knowledge, skills and abilities: strong business acumen, advanced selling skills, ability to present clinical information, negotiation skills, strategic planning, and effective management of a large territory.
