The Senior Data Manager will lead efforts in the Division of Adolescent Medicine to develop data collection systems, organize, clean, store and analyze study data collected under sponsored research and other sponsored projects. Responsibilities
Develop data management procedures across sponsored programs within the Division to ensure high data quality, security and compliance with study protocols and regulatory requirements. Evaluate available software systems for data capture and secure data storage. Make recommendations for purchase to the Division Head and negotiate pricing with software providers. Develop data collection instruments and systems in collaboration with study investigators. Program CAPI and CASI questionnaires in various software environments. Manage data-related study-set-up, testing and validation for new studies. Review, organize, and clean study data as they are collected and maintain secure storage practices. Create and maintain study databases in SPSS and SAS. Develop data quality procedures for individual sponsored projects and complete data quality reviews, as needed. Serve as lead data manager on multi-site and/or multi-city sponsored programs and act as liaison to both internal and external study staff for data concerns. Complete basic data analyses in SPSS, SAS or other commercial statistical software, including establishing the psychometric properties of psychosocial survey measures, bivariate analysis of associations and exploratory regression analyses. Present data analysis in narrative, table and graph format. Run queries and provide descriptive statistics on study administrative systems and data sets. Mentor and train data management assistants and interns on data management procedures according to the study or sponsored project protocol. Perform study close out and data storage tasks and archive study materials. Perform job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to patients, families, co-workers and others. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred in biostatistics, epidemiology, social sciences, public health or a related discipline. Minimum of 3 years of experience managing research data, with at least 1 year in a lead role. Demonstrated ability to manage data tasks on multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to solve complex data collection and management problems. Prior experience programming CASI and/or CAPI questionnaires using SNAP, Qualtrics and similar survey software. Prior experience programming and managing data in RedCap preferred. Experience and knowledge with SPSS, SAS or other statistical storage and analysis software. Ability to perform basic statistical analysis. Excellent written and oral skills; collaborative research experience is a plus. Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office applications. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision while being an essential part of a team. Education

$54,600.00-$89,273.60 Salary At Lurie Children’s, we are committed to competitive and fair compensation aligned with market rates and internal equity, reflecting individual contributions, experience, and expertise. The pay range for this job indicates minimum and maximum targets for the position. Ranges are regularly reviewed to stay aligned with market conditions.
