Overview
Supermicro is looking for a talented and passionate Application Engineer who has in-depth knowledge in X86 server and networking solutions, especially in switch products. You will be responsible for providing technical support to our enterprise customers and promoting internal switch products to optimize the customer's networking solution. The ideal candidate must have a strong technical background in networking switch products as well as exceptional communication skills to interface with all levels of management in a professional manner.
Responsibilities
Perform motherboard, system, and other server component validation testing
Conduct functionality testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, stress and reliability testing
Report hardware and software quality issues into bug tracking systems
Document and analyze test data
Maintain and improve validation test plans and test instructions
Contribute in the development of test utilities and test script automation
Support internal and external quality issues and drive to issue resolution
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
Minimum of 8+ years of working experience in a hardware validation environment
Strong knowledge of computer architecture
Familiar with Linux, Windows, and networking
Strong sense of teamwork and a good team player, strong communication skills in both speaking and writing
Knowledge and experience of server performance benchmarks and tuning is a plus
Salary Range $110,000 - $145,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
