Job Description:Project Director (HVAC)
A well respected Mechanical contractor is currently seeking a Pre-Construction Manager. This is your chance to become a part of this dynamic team and work towards the mutual success of the project, the company, your co-workers, and yourself.
THE OPPORTUNITY:Project Director (HVAC)
As a Pre-Construction Manager you will have the opportunity to use your skills to work on hospitals, laboratories and large industrial projects. You must have a desire for a career in estimating, buy-out, procurement, detailed submittal documentation and an ability to manage others.
Responsibilities
Contribute to pre-construction activities for hospitals, laboratories and large industrial projects.
Engage in estimating, buy-out, procurement, and detailed submittal documentation.
Manage project team members and coordinate with trades and subcontractors.
Qualifications
As a Project Director (HVAC) you must have supervised craft in a self-perform environment.
5+ years of experience in HVAC/MEP/Mechanical Commercial Industrial and Institutional Construction with a background in plumbing and advanced plumbing systems.
Past project size should exceed $5 million.
Experience in monitoring production and controlling costs.
Familiar with management controls (schedules, cost control, procurement, quality and safety) during project execution.
Past personal experience as a crafts person in the mechanical trades is required; previous/past professional licensing is a plus.
Desired Requirements
Demonstrated experience managing others.
5-15+ years in HVAC/MEP/Mechanical Commercial, Industrial and Institutional Construction with a background in mechanical process piping and advanced plumbing systems.
Dedicated, self-motivated with good verbal and people skills.
Stable work history.
Experience estimating in a hard bid market and developing accurate estimates from schematic design documents.
Ability to prioritize and work independently.
Willingness to work all hours and schedules as assigned.
