Overview
Join our Animal Health team as a Dairy Technical Services Manager and make a direct impact on dairy operations across the Southeast U.S. You’ll partner with sales, marketing and R&D to deliver practical, science-based solutions that increase herd health, efficiency and profitability. We’re looking for a technically strong, customer-focused professional who can translate dairy data into actionable farm-level recommendations. You’ll be a trusted advisor to producers and veterinarians, help shape product and technology adoption and connect our company with the latest academic and industry innovations. This is a field-based position covering the Southeastern U.S.; relocation assistance is available for non-local hires. Responsibilities
Deliver technical support and herd health consultation to dairy producers, with an emphasis on data-driven, farm-specific solutions that identify improvement opportunities and appropriate pharmaceutical interventions.
Analyze herd and operational data from farm software (e.g., DC305 and other dairy technologies) to diagnose drivers of performance, build economic models, and generate clear, actionable recommendations for producers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with dairy producers, veterinarians and other industry stakeholders to understand needs and tailor solutions that drive measurable results.
Serve as the company’s interface with academic, government and private research partners, bringing new dairy technology and analytic approaches into practical use.
Train sales teams and customers on product use, data interpretation, and decision-support tools to accelerate adoption and improve on-farm outcomes.
Support sales and marketing through customer visits, group presentations, scientific knowledge transfer, development of technical bulletins, webinars and other outreach activities.
Travel regularly (approximately 50% or more), prioritizing high-value customer engagements and opportunities with strong ROI.
Qualifications
Education: D.V.M. and/or Ph.D. in Animal Science with a dairy focus.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in dairy veterinary practice or animal science with substantial experience in data analysis and/or economic modeling.
Technical skills: Proficiency with dairy data tools and software (DC305 or comparable platforms) and the ability to convert data into practical management recommendations.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present technical concepts clearly to producers, vets and sales teams.
Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills, experience working cross-functionally, and a track record of building trusted customer relationships.
Preferred:
Hands-on field experience in dairy production or ruminant medicine; veterinary licensure in at least one state is a plus.
