The Senior Records and Information Management Specialist provides subject matter expertise to lead enterprise-level records management initiatives. This role manages retention schedules, digitization strategies, metadata compliance, and archival processes, while also developing policies, training materials, and guidance to ensure GAO’s compliance with federal records management laws and mandates. The Senior Records and Information Management Specialist ensures GAO’s compliance with records management laws, oversees digitization, and provides SME support to staff. Responsibilities
Manage and oversee enterprise records management initiatives. Lead digitization strategies and file plan development. Ensure compliance with GAO and NARA standards. Support development and delivery of training. Conduct records appraisal and retention updates. Experience Required
Minimum 5 years managing enterprise-level records management programs. Preferred Skills
NARA compliance, metadata management, digitization, training development, GAO records schedule familiarity. Educational Qualifications
Master’s degree in information management, Library Science, Business, or related field. Relevant Certification (Preferred)
Certified Records Manager (CRM). PMP desirable. Seniorities and Employment
