The AI & Modeling Center of Excellence advances KLA’s strengths in physics and data, delivering scalable AI solutions for a wide variety of KLA products in the semiconductor manufacturing industry. This group includes data scientists and AI infrastructure engineers who scale machine learning solutions for semiconductor customers. We are looking for engineers in fields including Physics Modeling, High Performance Computing (HPC), Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Sciences, and cloud technologies.
Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in system-level development and want to grow their impact in high-performance computing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize core infrastructure components used across divisions using C++, Python, and Linux. Collaborate with senior architects and cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML frameworks into scalable platforms. Contribute to build systems and toolchains using Makefiles, CMake, Clang, and GCC. Prototype and validate performance-critical modules for AI workloads. Stay current with emerging trends in AI infrastructure and contribute ideas to improve system robustness and scalability.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Ph.D preferred). 3–5 years of experience in system-level software development. Strong proficiency in Modern C++, C++, Python, and Linux-based development. Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and experience with GPU programming (CUDA is a plus). Solid knowledge of modern DL models. Solid experience with compiler toolchains, containers, and Kubernetes. Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor’s Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years.
Base Pay Range: $136,300.00 - $231,700.00 Annually. KLA’s total rewards package may include performance incentives and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, 401(K) with company matching, employee stock purchase program (ESPP), tuition reimbursement, development opportunities, and paid time off. Interns are eligible for some benefits. Pay ranges depend on role, level, and location.
