In This Role, You Will

Drive a Mobile-First Mindset: Champion a mobile-first approach across the engineering team, ensuring mobile experiences set the standard for usability and performance before web adaptations.

Design and implement solutions that prioritize local-first data strategies, including syncing large datasets to user devices for reliable offline access and seamless transitions between online and offline modes.

Address the challenges of efficiently syncing large and complex datasets to devices, optimizing for performance and data integrity across platforms.

Identify and integrate opportunities for AI and automation within the SDLC, driving innovation in code generation, testing, and personalized user experiences.

Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams; mentor junior engineers; establish best practices.

Stay current with the latest in mobile development, cloud sync technologies, and architectural patterns.

Define and maintain the mobile architecture roadmap aligned with business objectives and technology vision.

Lead architectural decisions for mobile applications, focusing on React Native, Expo, and Typescript.

Set standards for code quality, scalability, security, and maintainability across mobile platforms.

Guide teams in adopting modern frameworks, tools, and best practices.

Work with native mobile developers (Java, Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift) to ensure seamless interoperability.

Modernize and migrate legacy mobile apps to scalable architectures.

Evaluate and recommend emerging mobile technologies and frameworks.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of excellence.

Oversee performance optimization, reduce technical debt, and mitigate risks.

Participate in enterprise initiatives like security reviews, compliance, and app store deployment.

What You Need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

10+ years of mobile application development experience, including architecting and scaling complex solutions.

Extensive experience with React Native, Expo, and Typescript.

Proficiency in native languages (Kotlin, Swift) and solutions integrating cross-platform technologies.

Ability to set and enforce architectural standards and best practices.

Experience optimizing apps for performance, security, accessibility, and maintainability.

Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, and app store deployment.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience mentoring senior mobile engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in SaaS, large-scale mobile platforms, or event/hospitality tech.

Experience with Expo EAS, performance profiling, third-party SDKs.

Knowledge of Tailwind/Nativewind.

Understanding of backend integration (REST, GraphQL, notifications, analytics).

Knowledge of mobile security and compliance.

Success in leading mobile modernization projects.
