Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and handle insurance coverage denials, focusing on first-party insurance issues.
Draft coverage opinions, declination letters, and other legal documents with precision.
Advise clients on risk exposure, policy interpretation, and litigation strategies.
Manage multiple cases independently while collaborating with a team on complex matters.
Develop case strategies with a strong analytical mindset to assess risks and outcomes.
Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and litigation proceedings.
Qualifications
JD from an accredited law school and active Illinois Bar membership.
2-6 years of dedicated experience in insurance coverage (not occasional coverage work).
Strong analytical skills for case strategy, risk assessment, and policy interpretation.
Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
Team-oriented mindset with a proactive work ethic and ability to manage multiple cases.
Passion for delivering client-focused solutions and building lasting relationships.
