Overview
As a Top Secret cleared Information Systems Security Officer you will be working in an organization whose mission is to develop and operate software for critical national security enterprise applications. This organization leverages SCRUM and SAFE Agile software development methodology and strong DevOps practices. Responsibilities
Serve as the principal advisor to the Information System Owner (SO), Business Process Owner, and the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) / Information System Security Manager (ISSM) on all matters involving the security of an information system. Ensure the implementation and maintenance of security controls; direct and implement controls and procedures to protect information systems assets from modification, disclosure, or destruction. Provide guidance for physical protection of information systems assets to other functional units; report on effectiveness of data security and recommend new procedures. Assist with reviewing, developing, and navigating the system, team, and customer through the Authority to Operate (ATO) accreditation/certification documentation process. Perform network self-inspections; create and edit documentation forming the ATO package (System Security Plan and IS contingency plan); develop Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs) from vulnerability data and enter into the system of record. Requirements
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility Minimum of 8 years of experience with at least 3 years of technical experience installing, maintaining, and managing Local Area Networks (LANs) or Wide Area Networks (WANs) and 3 years of security engineering, system security auditing or system penetration testing Certifications (at least one desirable): MCSA/Unix/Linux, CCNA, CompTIA-Network+, CompTIA-Security+, CISSP Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Security, Engineering, or related technical discipline In absence of degree, additional years of experience may be substituted for educational requirements Clearance and Education

Minimum of 8 years of experience with at least 3 years in technical LAN/WAN and 3 years in security engineering, system security auditing or system penetration testing Preferred

The annual starting salary for this position is between $140,000-170,000. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance, long-term and short-term disability, 17 days PTO, up to 12 weeks maternity leave, up to 6 weeks parental leave, 7 company holidays, and 4 floating holidays. #javelin
