Technology Solutions Job Description
The Full Stack Architect designs, describes, and manages solution engineering in relation to capabilities of assigned Journeys and Platforms through the end-to-end lifecycle (i.e., frontend, backend, database and debugging of applications or sites). This role also uses knowledge of business acumen and technical expertise to play a lead role in shaping the technical vision to create complex distributed solutions, technical designs, and integrations. Responsibilities
Collaborate with Enterprise API Architects in contributing to/understanding overall API architecture and Lifecycle management vision, strategy and standards. Collaborate with various stakeholders such as product owners, developers, consumers to understand their requirements, expectations and communicate API value proposition and best practices. Assist technology delivery teams with end-to-end API lifecycle from planning to design to testing, deployment, post-production stabilization, etc. Perform code reviews to ensure API code is high quality and maintainable, meeting defined standards. Create high level architecture and other detailed design artifacts to represent solution architecture recommendations addressing stakeholder needs. Review architecture design with stakeholders and governance boards to seek approvals. Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and other domain architects in defining Solution Architecture. Facilitate cross-functional team meetings to achieve outcomes on business requirements, low level design, performance testing, etc. Identify constraints and dependencies and highlight long-term risks from architectural choices. Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding business problems, options, and progress reports. Oversee delivery of solutions to ensure architecture is delivered; coordinate with quality and performance engineering; ensure DevOps pipeline aligns with standards. Depth & Scope
Seasoned individual contributor with expert knowledge of enterprise/functional domains and architecture frameworks, tools, processes, and procedures. Exceptional collaboration, communication and client-facing skills. Big-picture thinker able to anticipate architectural gaps and identify trends with business acumen and technical knowledge of TD applications and standards. Autonomous execution on high-profile, complex, high-risk technology projects with significant impact. Education & Experience
Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate (Graduate degree preferred). 10+ years of relevant experience developing various platforms. Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, pair programming and/or Test-Driven Development is an asset. Demonstrated experience with leading technical tool integration in a complex environment. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with application architecture, design and development of business technology applications; familiar with architecture, information, and integration technologies. Experience as Solutions Architect or Enterprise Architect (applications-focused). Banking technology experience desirable; credit card enabling technology highly preferred. Experience architecting solutions in public cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS). Hands-on expertise in modern architectures like event streaming and microservices. Subject matter expert in architecture discipline, IT standards, IT application delivery, and information security. Excellent verbal and written communication to articulate complex topics to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaborative and cross-functional leadership. Customer Accountabilities
Apply multi-disciplined expertise to design software and guide sub-component development by teams. Elevate focus on applications and data as differentiators for customer experience; anchor in infrastructure and platforms. Advise on technology stacks to define principles and constraints for solution components; address security/scalability and future design impacts. Drive continual upgrading and assess program concerns to optimize server-side and client-side features; reduce technical debt. Lead code reviews and use automation tools to deploy code and gather proof points for developers. Monitor and report progress; collaborate with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure features are developed. Design tests and support issue analysis during test phases and production resolution. Collaborate with practices, mentor juniors, and lead cross-functional capability creation.
