The Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Prince William County, Cities of Manassas & Manassas Park is looking for Senior Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorneys. Role and Units
As an experienced prosecutor you will be assigned to one of five units: Violent Crimes, Special Investigations, Domestic Violence, Juvenile Offenders, or Special Victims. The position reports directly to their unit’s Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney. Duties will include overseeing daily dockets that are not otherwise assigned, handling a full caseload at all levels of Court, and responding to calls and questions from citizens, law enforcement, and defense counsel. Qualifications
Juris Doctorate degree and five or more years of related experience. Skilled at legal research and writing. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an office that values civility, initiative, sound judgment and skilled advocacy. Special Requirements
Must be a member of the Virginia State Bar in good standing. Additional Information
Note: This is an at-will position which serves at the pleasure of the Commonwealth's Attorney.
