Overview
This is a leadership role in pediatric emergency medicine at St. David’s Children’s Hospital in Austin, TX. Lead with impact in a collaborative, well-supported structure within TeamHealth’s network. Responsibilities
Partner with an experienced facility medical director in a collaborative leadership structure Serve as the assistant director in a 10-bed, pediatric-only emergency department Manage a low 50s daily census with a balanced and manageable patient load Provide 24 hours of physician coverage daily (two 12-hour shifts) Ensure 12 hours of APC coverage daily Operate with support from a dedicated pediatric OR, an 8-bed medical/surgical unit, and a 6-bed PICU Coordinate with 24/7 pediatric hospitalist and intensivist coverage Location: The Domain, a vibrant, upscale neighborhood north of downtown Austin with shops, dining, and green space Compensation and Perks
