Open Rank of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in Addiction Psychiatry. Employment Type: Faculty. Department: Psych Addictions (451D) located in the School of Medicine. This posting invites applications for academic faculty physicians at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor in the Addiction Psychiatry Division. As an attending physician, the selected candidate will have a voice in developing the addiction program’s direction and will participate in multicultural clinical care as well as scholarly and collaborative research activities across the Health Sciences campus. The position offers opportunities for professional development in leadership, administration, and education, including mentoring and supervising medical students, residents, fellows, and trainees in multiple disciplines. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching, clinical service, and scholarly activities as appropriate to the faculty rank. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience and academic background. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: Medical Doctor (or equivalent) degree; Board certified or board eligible in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine; Clinical experience, minimum one year; Eligible for licensure in the State of New Mexico; Must be eligible to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications: Educational, teaching and supervision experience with residents, fellows and medical students; Clinical leadership experience in an academic setting; A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
