The Men’s Shelter Program is a 24-7 shelter that serves 32 homeless men providing meals, laundry, secure storage of property and on-site staffing and services. It provides housing for 12 homeless Veterans for up to 24 months. Responsibilities
The Shelter Program Manager oversees all program participant services and operations for the shelter and transitional housing. The Shelter Program Manager will be responsible for staffing, program participant activities and services, and ensuring a safe welcoming shelter environment. The Shelter Program Manager will supervise the Lead Advocate, the Advocate team and the Shelter Case Manager. Shelter case management services will focus on housing readiness and navigation, increasing income and benefits, and linkages for needed healthcare. The Shelter Program Manager will oversee all aspects of the operations of this program. Qualifications
3 years’ direct experience providing services to individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health, substance abuse or other social issues. Translatable relevant and volunteer experience, and strong administrative experience will be considered. 1 year experience with staff supervision and residential program management required. Demonstrated leadership and strong administrative skills will be considered. Commitment to serving individuals experiencing homelessness, alcohol and drug dependency, and other mental health issues and to trauma-informed approach to care of individuals. Must be proficient in use of computer and Microsoft office suite (Word, excel, outlook and TEAMS). Experience with Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) a plus. Company Description
