Responsibilities
Support the ongoing operations of legacy systems and assist in the migration and transition to a new hosting facility and a new contractor.
Learn the basic tenants and foundational elements of property insurance; study NFIP floodplain management and other variables that impact flood insurance eligibility and rating.
Update and track project plan assignments across several project stakeholder organizations.
Conduct meetings with FEMA CIO, CFO, and RID customers and contracting organizations related to the migration and transition of legacy support systems.
Demonstrate ownership of documents and deliverables, synthesizing disparate information to support project objectives.
Qualifications Responsibilities, but not limited to:

Required Skills: Project Control Skills – Understanding of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and project schedules; ability to develop and track multiple sub-schedules across stakeholder organizations and produce weekly status reports with progress visuals and risk indicators. Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Excel. Years of Experience: minimum 2 years; 3-6 years preferred.
Required Skills: Communication Skills – Excellent oral and written communication; ability to prepare for and lead client meetings with diverse stakeholders; professional presentation and facilitation; experience with systems/IT implementations and client-facing work. Years of Experience – minimum 2 years; 3-6 years preferred.
Required Skills: Customer Interaction Skills – Ability to adapt to ad hoc client interactions in an open office environment; translating technical concepts into layman terms. Years of Experience – minimum 2 years; 3-6 years preferred.
Required Skills: Analytical & Critical Thinking Skills – Ability to conduct independent research, read legislation and policy documents, create complex spreadsheets, use databases, and create diagrams to support requirements management and analysis. Years of Experience – minimum 2 years; 3-6 years preferred.
Required Skills: Time Management Skills – Ability to manage multiple work streams and milestones; proactive planning for large deliverables. Years of Experience – minimum 2 years; 3-6 years preferred.
Preferred Skills
Understanding or knowledge of DHS, FEMA, FIMA, and/or NFIP. Years of Experience – N/A, as this is preferred.
Understanding and tactical experience with an IT PMO. Years of Experience – N/A, as this is preferred.
