We’re looking for a Principal Software Development Engineer to help us build new services for our customers, operate our service, and improve our engineering process. As a member of the OCI Platform Service team, you will collaborate with the product team and other engineering teams to define new features, design them, and then write code to build and operate them. You will help operate the service, troubleshoot problems, and provide technical and project leadership to other software engineers on the team. Responsibilities
Own and develop a set of features available through the service. Mentor junior software engineers on the team. Solve difficult problems in distributed systems, infrastructure, and highly available services. Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Business Partners, and Operations Engineering to deliver a highly available product to customers. Onsite note: This team is targeting candidates who can work onsite in Nashville, TN (5 days/week). Relocation assistance provided. This is not a remote position. Minimum Qualifications
BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 7+ years of experience delivering and operating large software systems at scale. Proficient in Java and familiarity with at least one of Python, C++, C#, or Golang. Experience building scalable, cloud-native distributed systems. Experience developing service-oriented architectures and web services. Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Understanding of REST and JSON. Effective verbal and written communication of technical ideas. Experience with production operations and best practices for shipping quality code and troubleshooting issues. Qualifications

US: Hiring Range in USD from $96,800 to $223,400 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
