Compensation
At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices.
The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $103510- $137121.6.
Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Project Test Engineer , you'll be crucial in ensuring continued innovation and supporting our diverse team.
Responsibilities Design, plan, and execute tests on switchgear products and/or their components to evaluate performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop test procedures, analyze test data, and provide insights to support product development and quality improvement efforts.
Lead small and medium scale projects to improve test capabilities and maintain the lab's facilities and processes.
Report to Senior Manager - NJC Laboratories.
Direct lab personnel during the setup and execution of tests.
Set up and operate testing equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Conduct tests including short-circuit, dielectric, partial discharge, impulse, insulation resistance, and power frequency tests per industry standards and internal standards.
Accurately collect test data and measurements; analyze and interpret results using statistical methods and engineering tools to draw conclusions and make data-driven recommendations.
Identify and troubleshoot issues during testing; apply engineering methods to solve problems and collaborate with other teams to develop solutions.
Prepare detailed test reports with methodology, results, and analysis; communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Ensure all testing activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality systems.
Support maintenance of test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability in testing.
Create and maintain drawings and documentation related to the lab's processes, including test reports, specifications, and user manuals.
Train S&C team members on lab processes, equipment, and test methods to meet testing demand and operate efficiently.
Design, develop, and implement new laboratory instrumentation and control systems. Specify and recommend purchase of new test equipment and software.
Identify opportunities to enhance test methodology, equipment, and processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the lab.
Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.
What you'll Need To Succeed
Job Requirements
(To select this job at a minimum you must have the following):
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
4+ years of experience in electrical testing, or a related field.
Sound understanding of electrical engineering principles, high-voltage testing methods, and safety practices.
Proficient in data analysis and statistical evaluation methods, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Proficient programming skills in Visual Basic, MATLAB, and LabVIEW for test automation and data analysis.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Meticulous approach to testing, data collection, and documentation to ensure accuracy and precision.
Ability to work in a team environment, contribute ideas, and support team goals.
Ability to effectively train and mentor team members.
Adherence to safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Proficient with relevant lab instrumentation, scopes, DMMs, high-voltage, and high-current measurements.
Knowledge of IEEE and IEC switchgear standards.
Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
