Responsibilities Position Purpose: As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure. You will contribute to the evolution of our cloud platforms—primarily Azure—while exploring and integrating new technologies to meet strategic business goals. This role requires deep technical expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure-as-code, automation, and cloud-native services, with strong collaboration across security, development, product, and operations teams.
You will be a technical leader and hands-on contributor who influences best practices and drives maturity and innovation of our cloud capabilities, ensuring infrastructure is resilient, cost-effective, and aligned with engineering and business needs.
Primary duties:
Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions in Azure and other public cloud platforms as required.
Lead the adoption and implementation of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to enable reproducible, scalable, and auditable infrastructure provisioning.
Collaborate with platform and DevOps teams to integrate automation, containerization, observability, and developer experience tools.
Evaluate and recommend cloud services and technologies aligned with architectural principles and business requirements.
Ensure infrastructure stability, performance, security, and cost optimization through proactive monitoring, patching, and incident management.
Partner with security, compliance, and architecture teams to enforce governance policies and controls across environments.
Serve as a technical advisor and mentor to other cloud engineers, contributing to knowledge sharing, training, and technical reviews.
Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues.
Qualifications To land this role you will need :
7+ years of experience in cloud engineering (preferably Azure), infrastructure, or platform operations.
A history of being self-motivated and able to solve problems with minimal oversight; quick learner with strong information retention.
Deep knowledge across compute, storage, database, and containerization services within Azure.
Experience in cost optimization and FinOps practices, including managing commitment-based discounts and delivering actionable cost reporting.
Expertise in building infrastructure using Terraform or other modern IaC tooling.
Solid understanding of enterprise cloud governance, access control, policy enforcement, and regulatory compliance.
Strong collaboration skills to drive cross-functional initiatives in a complex platform environment.
Focus on reliability, automation, and measurable service outcomes.

Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert; industry-recognized cloud architecture or IaC certifications (e.g., Terraform Associate).

Working environment
Hybrid.
Travel may be required for leadership meetings and conferences.

Compensation: Salary range of $90,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, internal equity, and market data. May be eligible for incentives; benefits include medical, financial, and other offerings depend on position.
