1.0 The University of Oregon is seeking a Program Director for the Women’s Center within the Division of Student Life. The position is open until filled with application review beginning September 10, 2025.
Responsibilities
Serve as an advocate and educator on issues pertinent to women and gender experiences and needs.
Guide the Center’s vision through programs and services, including annual events and educational and outreach support.
Administer the Center; supervise initiation and implementation of educational programs.
Respond to program and service requests; provide direct service via resources and referrals to students.
Promote a positive working and educational environment for women and people of all genders at the university.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
Two years of demonstrated experience working with students, preferably in a college, university, or similar setting.
Professional Competencies
Administrative, managerial, and organizational skills.
Strong, effective communication skills; excellent listening skills.
Interpersonal skills to engage with people from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to develop, empower, and cultivate a positive community/team culture.
Ability to collaborate and build community across the university and with external partners.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Student Affairs/Higher Education Administration, Sociology, Women and Gender Studies, or a related field.
Experience working with students from historically underrepresented and underserved populations.
Skills in selecting, training, and supervising staff.
Experience managing budgets and developing learning outcomes.
Experience evaluating programs and services.
