The Home & Garden divisionBased in St. Louis, Missouri with distribution, manufacturing and sales offices throughout the US and globe. Spectrum Brands is a leading supplier of consumer products for home, lawn and garden, insect and weed control markets. We deliver innovative products with value and quality under brands including Spectracide, Hot Shot, Cutter, Repel, Black Flag, Garden Safe, EcoLogic and Liquid Fence. This position is a member of the plant leadership team and oversees aerosol and/or liquid manufacturing at the Vinita Park plant, reporting directly to the site Senior Director of Manufacturing. The role leads people and activities to achieve supply chain success, owning targets such as service, cost, productivity, quality, NPD/EPD start-up, safety, health, environmental goals, and employee engagement. It inspires and develops the manufacturing team to implement and sustain supply chain and category strategies across safety, quality, world-class manufacturing, employee relations, performance management and talent development. As a critical member of the site leadership team, the role helps develop and share best practices across the network and works across silos to deliver supply chain KPIs. Direct reports include area supervisors, plant engineers, and maintenance personnel who manage a seasonal business that runs 24/7 in season and reduced schedules in the off season, with a team of 100 to 200 hourly technicians, production employees, quality technicians, and temporary workers. Responsibilities include leading safety and quality, attaining production schedules, and achieving KPIs through continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing principles. Primary Duties & Responsibilities

As a member of the plant leadership team, develop plans to support the 3-year strategic growth plan of the Home & Garden business. Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards. Model Spectrum Brands values to achieve service excellence, meet organizational objectives, and support fiscal responsibility. Lead Tier Lean Process to improve daily performance and meet or exceed KPIs. Ensure training standards for major activities, including new operator training, temporary employee training, one-point lessons, JSA, quality control procedures, etc. Foster a culture of equity, diversity and inclusion where team members thrive. Prepare and maintain operational budgets and resource requirements. Optimize production flow, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, manage staffing, and monitor production orders and schedules. Develop new and improved manufacturing processes to support new products and improve existing processes for cost, quality, and safety improvements. Manage manufacturing functions to ensure on-time production and shipment of conforming products. Minimize accidents and injuries by promoting safety and addressing unsafe acts or conditions promptly. Facilitate good communication and teamwork to solve problems. Develop improvement plans for equipment, facilities, operations, and staffing. Improve adherence to high product quality standards and production fill rates. Monitor results against goals and implement corrective actions as needed. Collaborate with Corporate and Plant-level Quality and Regulatory groups to implement quality systems ensuring customer standards are met. Maintain a favorable employee relations environment and support staff development and growth goals. Accountable for the financial performance of all managed groups, ensuring budgets are met and variances communicated. Maintain and improve area cleanliness and organization. Identify continuous improvement opportunities and seek cost reductions. Ensure products produced comply with applicable laws and regulations. Implement Lean manufacturing principles across multiple production units. Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related field 10+ years of management experience in manufacturing, preferably in a CPG company High-speed aerosol and/or liquid filling experience is strongly preferred Experience with filler and packaging line technology Lean manufacturing experience ERP experience Role not eligible for sponsorship Required Skills

Role Location: On-site, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM CST (core hours). On-site manufacturing and office environment. Relocation Assistance may be provided for eligible candidates.
