Enterprise Architect in support of Marine Corps Recruiting Command (MCRC) headquarters in Quantico VA. Functional Responsibilities
The
Enterprise Architect – Advanced
provides senior-level leadership and technical guidance in designing, implementing, and optimizing IT systems for MCRC. Responsibilities include: Lead the development and maintenance of
current-state and future-state enterprise architectures
for networks, applications, data, and systems supporting MCRC mission requirements.
Align IT systems and processes with
DoDAF, DoD, and USMC policies
and strategic objectives.
Provide
strategic planning, technical oversight, and risk assessment
for IT system acquisitions, integration, cloud migrations, and modernization initiatives.
Ensure
compliance with RMF/NIST, DISA STIGs, cybersecurity policies, and privacy regulations .
Lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior architects, and coordinate with program managers, CORs, INS Leads, EDM Leads, and cybersecurity teams.
Develop and maintain
architectural artifacts, system diagrams, documentation, and technical reports
for executive leadership, audits, and operational reviews.
Conduct
cost-benefit analysis, capacity planning, and technical evaluation
for enterprise solutions.
Serve as a
subject matter expert
on IT architecture, enterprise integration, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity alignment.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field.
Master’s degree for senior-level responsibilities.
Minimum Experience
10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, IT strategy, or systems engineering, preferably in DoD or federal environments.
Proven experience leading enterprise architecture development using
DoDAF
or other recognized frameworks.
Experience with enterprise IT systems, including networks, applications, databases, storage, and cloud infrastructure (Azure GovCloud, AWS GovCloud, Microsoft 365).
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor personnel, and manage large-scale IT initiatives.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance (RMF/NIST, DISA STIGs, DoD/USMC policies).
Required Certifications (one or more)
CISSO (Certified Information Systems Security Officer)
CISSP-ISSAP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional – Architecture)
CISSP-ISSEP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional – Engineering Professional)
GIAC Certifications: GCIA, GCLD, GCSA, GICSP
