Description The incumbent will work in the ITS – Digital Solutions & End-User Computing Team, which is responsible for the evaluation, testing, and implementation of emerging technologies in the desktop and mobile computing areas. ITSEE (End-User Solutions and Engineering) is a product team of ITSDS and is responsible for the strategy and engineering of the Windows end-user platform and associated productivity products.

An ITSEE Desktop Engineer II is responsible for engineering & Tier III support for the Windows Client platform for geographically widespread 32000+ Endpoints.

Proven experience as a seasoned Systems Administrator of Windows 11 client/server and Microsoft 365 SaaS solution

and applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, Viva, Teams and Cisco WebEx to maintain stable and effective desktop platform.

Strong familiarity with systems administration disciplines like capacity planning, performance analysis, troubleshooting, trend analysis, etc. in enterprise environments.

Implementation of procedures-based solutions to support and monitor the effective operations of an element(s) of the infrastructure.

Experience with scripting and programming technologies is a must.

Broad understanding of Operating Systems, their basic construct and main characteristics. In-depth Windows experience is a must.

Broad understanding of network models and protocols is a plus.

Good understanding of Microsoft Active Directory/EntraID administration, as it relates to support of group policies and login scripts.

Experience with virtual/remote desktop & application platforms such as Windows 365, AVD, Citrix XenDesktop, XenApp Server, XenServer/Client ESX and PaloAlto SASE VPN.

Perform troubleshooting for incidents that require software and network forensic analysis, in close collaboration with other ITS client services teams.

Ensure that Group policies, procedures and standards are followed.

Knowledge of Scripting using Visual Studio .Net, VBScript, PowerShell, WMI & ADSI with VB/J script

Good understanding of internet protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, XML), Windows Networks (Active Directory, WINS, NETBIOS, NDIS), and Network Security.

Document detailed incident & problem analysis for major system disruptions.

Technical areas:

Windows 11 OSD/OEM RTP (Operating System Deployment), SCCM/inTune/Splunk for Windows, Microsoft 365 Suite, modern browsers (Edge/Chrome), EntraID / Active Directory User & Computer Management.

Selection Criteria

BS or undergraduate degree in computer science/engineering with proven experience directly related to information security, computer Engineering/Systems or MIS.

Minimum 5 years of related experience related to desktop OS platform engineering and Proven experience with installation, configuration, operational support and in-depth troubleshooting of following products:

Windows 11 OSD/OEM RTP (Ready Image To Provision) (Operating System Deployment)

SCCM/inTune for Windows

Microsoft 365 Suite.

Modern Browsers like Edge/Chrome

EntraID / Active Directory User & Computer Management and GPOs

Splunk

Strong communication skills in English (written and oral).

Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and flexibility to work effectively in a team-oriented and multi-cultural environment.

Ability to adequately plan and prioritize own work and teamwork while resolving competing demands.

Ability to effectively apply creative and practical problem-solving skills on a regular basis.

Strong project management capabilities demonstrated through experience managing IT projects.

Certification in ITIL V3 Foundation in Service Management is a plus.

Experience with developing, implementing, and leading adoption of ITIL and Safe Agile best practices in project, service and infrastructure management is desirable.

Flexibility to work in close co-ordination with on-site and offshore teams, as well as support end-users across the globe.

Willing to work in R&D activities and provide technical leadership on projects.

Ability to create concise documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Language Preference: Proficiency in English is required
