Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to manage a portfolio of merchant partners that deliver half of Rakuten Card Linked Offers’ annual revenue. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, ensuring client satisfaction, and fostering strong relationships with key decision-makers. The Account Executive will leverage deep performance marketing expertise to develop strategic plans that align with both internal objectives and client goals. They are responsible for delivering a superior level of service and results to our partners. Key Responsibilities

Own revenue targets for the Rakuten Card Linked Offer business, ensuring profitability of both commission and media deals across your merchant portfolio. Develop and execute strategic plans that align with merchant objectives and maximize revenue opportunities. Act as the client advocate, ensuring needs are met while aligning with our strategic priorities. Cross-sell new network opportunities within existing accounts, such as new publisher platforms and media assets. Lead acquisition of new merchant partners within your designated target list and categories through relationship development, strategic pitches and strong data. Conduct regular business reviews as needed with partners to track progress, optimize performance, and identify new opportunities. Analyze and forecast trends and performance metrics to identify growth opportunities. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at merchant organizations, agencies and networks to enhance partnerships and drive long-term success. Partner with internal teams (Account Managers, Sales Operations, Tech Operations B2B Marketing, Analytics, Executives, etc.) to ensure seamless execution and support for merchant initiatives. Provide coaching and guidance to Account Managers as needed to help them develop and refine client strategies. Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams on collections and ensure seamless resolution of account-related technical issues. Represent Rakuten Card Linked Offers at industry events and conferences, positioning the company as a leader in the card-linked offer space. Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices to continuously enhance the value provided to partners. Qualifications

Strong track record of driving revenue growth and managing high-value merchant relationships. Experience in structuring, forecasting, and negotiating deals with a deep understanding of financial and performance metrics. Proven ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations and pitches for complex products and partnerships. Strong analytical skills to interpret performance data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights for merchant partners. Ability to think strategically and craft tailored solutions that align with both client objectives and our business goals. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to engage senior stakeholders and decision-makers. Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment across different departments. Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Marketing, Economics, or related). 5–7 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development, preferably in a related field such as performance marketing, affiliate marketing, card-linked offers or digital advertising. At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the base compensation for this role to be within the range shown below. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements. USD 91,044.00 - 157,248.00 annually
