Overview
Field Service Technician – San Francisco, CA at Belimed. The role involves traveling to hospital sites to install, service, and maintain Belimed products while delivering excellent customer service. This is a remote, home-based position traveling around the San Francisco area with a 2-4 hour driving radius, and some overnight travel may be required for training. Residency within a 15 mile radius of San Francisco is required. Belimed is a leading global supplier of cleaning, disinfection and sterilization solutions for Medical and Life Science.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using test instruments Measure and adjust digital and analog instrumentation using calibration equipment Install, modify and repair Belimed and/or third-party equipment Manage customer base effectively; prioritize customer needs and balance preventive maintenance workload with daily repairs Demonstrate correct usage and application of equipment to customers Conduct product in-service trainings as required Complete service reports, timesheets, expense reports and parts lists in a timely and accurate manner Maintain an organized work vehicle with necessary tools, manuals and parts required to provide efficient repairs and installations Monitor customer chemical orders, contract sales and renewals Promote and maintain good customer relations through high standards of professionalism, ethical behavior, maturity and good judgment Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent 3+ years of experience with industrial electrical single and 3-phase wiring and controls Experience troubleshooting water and pneumatic process controls Experience using diagnostic test equipment, volt-ohm meters, amp probes and precision temperature and pressure calibration equipment Ability to perform piping of copper, brass and stainless steel piping Ability to read and red-line P&ID and electrical schematics Moderate technical aptitude; general computer skills with the ability to communicate effectively via e-mail Ability to lift at least fifty pounds unassisted Ability to climb over and crawl under equipment Ability to travel extensively with little notice prior to travel Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as business needs dictate Ability to maintain compliance of all credentialing requirements in order to access customer sites Employment details
Remote, home-based position traveling within the San Francisco area (2-4 hour radius). Some overnight travel may be necessary during the first 90 days for training. Training: 90 days of on-the-job training in the region and 3 weeks of classroom training at the Charleston, SC headquarters. Compensation: $35-$36/hour Residence requirement: within 15 miles of San Francisco
