This position offers the opportunity to apply knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and experience in power plant engineering. The role involves performing or reviewing calculations, evaluations, and technical reports to support client recommendations, as well as equipment sizing, optimization evaluation, and selection in response to client needs. You will work with clients and project teams on the design, modification, and analysis of nuclear power plant mechanical systems, and interface to present technical discussions and project status. Responsibilities

Prepare or review calculations, evaluations, and technical reports to support client recommendations and reviews Conduct equipment sizing, optimization evaluation, and selection in response to client needs Support clients and project teams with other mechanical engineers in system engineering, including design, modification, and analysis of nuclear power plant mechanical systems Interface with clients and project teams to present technical discussions and project status Develop engineering proposals and cost estimates Mentor junior engineering staff on power plant engineering technical tasks Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for meetings and field verification of designs (potential) Qualifications

Essential skills and experience: BSME from an ABET-approved program with strong background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics Minimum of 5 years of experience in the nuclear power industry Ability to prepare calculations and/or reports with strong technical writing skills Knowledge of practical mechanical engineering applications and technology for project design Strong interest in numerical computations and problem solving Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for mechanical design of nuclear power plants Proficiency with MS Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills Valued but not required: MSME from ABET-accredited program PE License Award-Winning Benefits

Salary range: $82,380.00 - $125,860.00 (base compensation may vary by location and experience). About This Business Unit
