Overview
Director of Engineering – Logistics Technology Solutions. We're hiring a hands-on engineering leader to drive the development of scalable logistics tech solutions. This role blends strategy and execution—leading cross-border systems for parcel processing, customs, billing, and integrations with platforms like Shopify, ERP, and WMS. Responsibilities
Lead engineering teams (onshore/offshore) to deliver logistics systems. Architect scalable solutions across carriers, customs, and client platforms. Own data flows, APIs, and reporting frameworks. Collaborate with operations, product, and onboarding teams. Define enterprise architecture and drive measurable impact. Design and implement enterprise architecture roadmap for logistics, data, and client integration systems. Align technology decisions with business strategy, ensuring scalability, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. Design solutions to support customs clearance, duty/tax automation, and carrier integrations; ensure systems meet operational, regulatory, and customer requirements across geographies. Oversee data architecture, ETL pipelines, and reporting frameworks; drive standardization of APIs and data exchange with carriers, customs, and clients. Partner with vendors to optimize TMS, WMS, OMS, and parcel systems. Translate business needs into technical designs and implementation plans; work with operations, engineering, and product to roll out new capabilities. Develop templates and best practices for client onboarding and solution deployment. Qualifications
10+ years of experience in engineering, systems architecture, or solutions delivery, with at least 5 years in logistics, e-commerce, 3PL, or parcel delivery. Proven track record of leading engineering teams (including offshore resources) and delivering enterprise-level logistics solutions end-to-end. Deep understanding of cross-border logistics, including customs clearance, duty/tax automation, and carrier integrations. Hands-on technical skills in systems integration (APIs, middleware, iPaaS), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and data architecture (SQL, ETL, BI).
