Salary Range: $59,000 to $78,000 Position Summary Description
Will manage and provide account reconciliation support to the Collection Team. This role ensures customer accounts are accurate and understood by the collection team and customers, facilitates the resolution of billing disputes and assists the Credit Manager as deemed necessary. Supervise Collectors and Payment Application clerk. This role will work 100% in office. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervises, directs, coaches, and provides feedback to staff. Prepares Weekly Collection Reports for the collection team. Performs frequent reconciliation of Accounts Receivables, resolving discrepancies, unmatched (unapplied) payments, or disputed balances. Maintains a professional approach in dealing with customers, sales staff, peers, and varying levels of management both inside and outside the company. Achieves monthly collection goals for customer accounts with effective collection calls, consistent coverage of entire assignments, and adherence to department policies and procedures. Facilitates resolution of billing disputes with customer service, account managers, and management within tight constraints, keeping management informed of the status of essential accounts. Understands the invoice process and contract terms and their impact on the overall business. Assists in developing and implementing potential process and system enhancements to create efficiencies. Ensures timely resolution of invalid deductions and short payments. Ensures timely and accurate payment posting within 24 hours of receipt. Balance daily cash receipt postings against the Daily Deposit Log and GL Account Report. Maintains confidentiality of company and customer information in both internal and external business dealings. Prepares documents and files for referral of accounts to outside collection agencies. Performs similar and related duties as required by the Manager. Assists the Manager in preparing Quarterly Bad Debt Reports. Assists in answering inbound calls and emails. Runs monthly customer statements. Assists the Manager in determining the creditworthiness of customers through credit investigations. Weekend Credit Hold coverage (rotation). Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting or related field. Minimum five years of credit and collections experience in the distribution industry, preferred Two years of supervisory experience Strong understanding of billing and collection processes. Days/Hours of Work
