Shared Services: IS Production Support Team (Full-Time, Day Shift). Job Summary

The Applications Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a portfolio of applications within the Information Services Department, e.g. Inpatient applications, ancillary applications, etc. Applications include all Epic modules as well as non-applications that extend the EHR experience in common operational areas. Responsibilities include but are not limited to application oversight, personnel management, task prioritization and assignment, and liaising with operational leadership. Coaches team members on key performance metrics. Helps engineer and enforce performance metrics for each team and maintains professional development plans for each team member. Manages concurrent implementations of technical initiative and optimization projects for portfolio of applications. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare, or a related field. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Master's Degree preferred. Minimum six years of relevant experience in healthcare, information technology, or management required. Minimum two years of experience in project management, program management, leadership, or other pertinent business operations related work required. Minimum one year of previous experience with Epic and/or other healthcare systems preferred. Knowledge and Skills

Extensive experience with Epic EMR platform and managing healthcare staff. Ability to work with business representatives and apply business expertise. Able to use project planning software, spreadsheets, and word processing software; input data, typing, copying, and effective use of the telephone. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS project, Access). Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate; accept direction. Ability to deal effectively with people and elicit support from other department areas, vendors, and customers. Excellent analytic, communication, and documentation skills. Able to organize technical work; demonstrate excellent planning, problem solving, analysis, presentation and organization skills; analyze/interpret data, processes and needs; organize work and resources; define problems and solutions, prioritize work load; make recommendations; manage time effectively and plan and implement objectives effective. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position. Licensures and Certifications

As a requirement of this position you must receive Epic certification for the module you have been hired into. To satisfy this job requirement, you must receive a passing score (as defined by Epic), within three attempts, on all required exams and projects. This certification must be received within six weeks of your last day of class. About Us
