AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Work with internal teams to understand user requirements. Design data center mechanical systems and collaborate with other disciplines to create a construction document set. Create designs that meet or exceed quality requirements and fit within budgetary constraints. Coordinate with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify appropriate mechanical equipment. Work with local utilities to understand and define site utility requirements. Engage with local agencies to ensure compliance with city/county requirements and building codes. Review and approve equipment submittals. Define project scopes and provide technical support during construction phases. Work with commissioning teams to validate installation, operation, and performance of mechanical systems. Manage concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions. Travel to sites for site reviews and collaborate with onsite field engineers, engineering evaluations, mechanical systems audits, and startup activities as needed. Contribute creative, out-of-the-box solutions and have fun in the process. About the team

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering degree with at least 4 years of additional qualifying experience. 6+ years of experience in design engineering or construction related to mechanical systems (hydronics, air-side duct design, plumbing). 4+ years’ experience using Revit for producing Mechanical & Plumbing BIM models and construction drawings. Experience applying local codes, ICC requirements, and other mechanical standards. Direct experience with construction of data centers or large-scale mechanical and power systems. Experience with design review, standard development, and submittal review. Ability to read and understand construction documents for all trades. Experience with performance-based mechanical design approaches. Knowledge of high-volume air handling, chilled water, and cooling systems. Professional Engineer license (NCEES Record). Base pay ranges from $105,100/year to $185,000/year, depending on location and experience.
