Participate in part layout activity using tools such as blueprint & capability studies. Participate in quality improvement activities using tools such as SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, Quality Systems, Poke Yoke, 8D Corrective Action, 5 Why’s. Perform receiving inspection audits, review and document supplier data as per Control Plan / Control Card. Exercise authority to stop shipments to the customer in the event of a non-conforming product. Work with SQE to improve subcontractor’s performance. Perform Product, Process, Control Plan Audits as per audit schedule. Perform Layered Process Audits as per predetermined schedule. Ensure effective traceability and containment of all purchased components and processes. Investigate non-conformances and report them in a timely manner to avoid production downtime. Ensure necessary containment action and adequate material supply to production with minimal downtime. Participate as a team member in the resolution of NCRs and 8D and Quality system audit corrective action requests. Issue and train team members for Quality Alerts & Visual Aids. Actively implement and audit Mafact elements. Perform SPC studies and Gage R&R activities. Comply with Magna Quality Standards, IATF 16949 and CSR requirements. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
College Diploma or equivalent in a related discipline (asset). Minimum 2 years related experience in the automotive industry in Quality Assurance. Basic understanding of quality and manufacturing tools such as SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, Quality Systems, Poka Yoke, 8D Corrective Action, 5 Why’s. Experience with PPAP, 8D Problem Solving, SPC, GD&T & Blueprint Reading. Knowledge of machining, stamping, flow forming, welding and assembly line processes. Experience with product and process control, gauging and mistake proofing. Basic understanding of statistical methods. Fluent written and spoken English; ability to relate/communicate with people at all levels. Good organizational skills, self-starter and team player. Proficiency with PC-based applications.
