The Resource Registered Nurse servicing the Emergency Room department as a professional practitioner, assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care while they are relieving other licensed nurses during break/meal periods. You will be documenting interventions, outcomes, patient care, and patient response You will be acting as a resource to staff by providing information, and problem solving to immediately resolve patient care problems You will be developing, implementing, and modifying the patient’s plan of care according to the patient’s progress You will be demonstrating knowledge of specific disease process treatments, interventions and responses based on age specificity, patient’s needs, condition, impairment, or disability You will be reviewing physician orders and accurately transcribe to MAR You will immediately initiate STAT orders You will be assessing, collaborating, reporting, and coordinating the patient’s transfer or discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge or transfer to another level of care with the other members of the health care team and patient’s family/SO Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing Current RN License by the Board of Nurse Examiners State of California Minimum of one-year acute care hospital experience required; two years preferred in acute care emergency room Current BLS Current ACLS Current PALS Current NIH Current TNCC Current ENPC or EDAP Current CPI MICN preferred Benefits
