Associate Director, Engineering Sciences - Thermal, Fluids, and Combustion
Secretariat is a diversified international expert services firm delivering engineering and scientific consulting to clients across multiple industries, including large industrial facilities. You will be part of our expanding Global Engineering and Scientific consulting team, focusing on complex engineering challenges and the analysis of failures across a range of products and industries.
About Our Engineering Sciences Team You will work at the forefront of today’s most complex engineering challenges, with a focus on large facilities such as power plants, Oil & Gas facilities, chemical processing plants, construction, and related industries. The team leverages diverse technical expertise to provide clients with world-class value in identifying solutions that drive performance and safety.
Responsibilities
Attracting and winning new business opportunities for Secretariat in expert witness and strategic consulting
Contributing to the growth of Secretariat’s Thermal practice by recruiting talented staff
Mentoring and driving growth of Thermal staff
Providing project management and project budget oversight
Qualifications
Established track record for business development and existing client-base
Requisite professional degrees and ~5+ years of work experience
PhD or MS degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Fire Protection Engineering
Excellent verbal and written communication
Have previously testified in deposition, trial, arbitration or hearings
Excellent expert report writing skills to complement analytics
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent listening, verbal, written, technical, and presentation skills
The desire to lead and contribute to a growing practice within a rapidly growing firm
