Job Description: About the Group: The Foundry Technology & Manufacturing (FTM) Group is responsible for the research, development, and deployment of next-generation silicon and packaging technologies that will enable Intel and Foundry customer products. The Design Technology Platform (DTP) organization is a global team supporting both technology and product development (internal and external). This includes design innovations driven through Design-Technology Co-Optimization (DTCO) to enable the technology to deliver the best Power, Performance, Area, and Cost (PPAC) and Design Ease-of-Use for new products, the development of test vehicles that support the technology and IP development process, and the development of the design technology platform that customers will use to design in Intel process technology nodes. The latter includes the development of Process Design Kits (PDKs), Foundational IP (FIP), and Foundry Reference Flows, which are high quality and easy to use for fast time-to-market for our products. This organization is an integral part of Intel’s Foundry strategy, enabling both internal and external customers to use cutting-edge technologies. About the Role: Leads a global organization of over 1500 people that is responsible for the planning, execution, delivery, and support of all enablement needed by design teams, such as FIP, PDK Dev/QA, Technology Modeling, DTCO/PPA, Test Chips, and Design Technology Platform customer support. They will work closely with: T echnology development team on defining new technologies that deliver the best Power, Performance, Area, and Design Ease-of-Use. EDA partners to develop & deliver the EDA tool and IP capabilities needed by our customers. Foundry services team to support new customer product designs and ensure the design technology platform meets customer requirements. This position requires strong analytical, project management, and business partnering and influencing skills. The candidate must have experience driving cross-organizational issues and projects to resolution, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a good understanding of Intel's highly complex products, technologies, and business strategies. The position requires strong business and technical acumen, disciplined process management, problem-solving skills, multitasking ability, and attention to quality and detail. They will operate in a fast-paced environment and requires a dynamic individual to succeed. The candidate must be results-oriented, capable of synthesizing and abstracting complex information into clear messages. Responsibilities: Coordinates execution across the Design Technology Platform organization to ensure all deliveries are on schedule and at high quality, adapting to new process findings and new customer asks. Fosters continuous improvement development and validation practices for better customer outcomes. Drives improvements in automation and validation methodologies to simultaneously improve PDK development efficiency and quality. Identifies key metrics for measurement of development, quality, and operational efficiency. Promotes systems to monitor these metrics and act upon their findings. Responds quickly to customer requirements and feedback and ensures comprehensive root cause methodologies are in place across teams to learn from customer feedback. Works closely with EDA Partners to deliver on the tool enablement required by our customers. Promotes a healthy and rewarding work environment for the organization. Coaches staff to develop and expand their capabilities. Sets clear goals and vision for the organization and resources teams to reach those goals. Experience Required: A high performer with 20+ years of demonstratable experience in most of the design technology platform domains such as Technology Modeling, Process Test Chips, DTCO, PDK Dev/QA, FIP, and Customer Support. Deep working knowledge of how PDK and FIPs are used in product and IP designs and critical aspects of Power, Performance, Area tradeoffs. Experience aligning PDK, FIP, EDA reference flows, and other components as part of developing a technology platform. A combination of business acumen, organizational savvy, networking capabilities, and technical expertise to get results across multiple groups and disciplines. Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret industry trends, create and drive strategies, work independently, simultaneously manage diverse and extensive assignments while remaining organized and productive in a complex environment. Proven experience in building a high-performance team, developing leaders, and driving necessary organizational change and culture. Able to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization and influence the direction of the company. Complex problem solving and decision-making skills with background in results orientation. Demonstrated knowledge of one or more root cause analysis methods. Excellent customer services mindset and skills. Strong self-initiative, persistence, and ability to deal with a high degree of ambiguity and task and deadline pressure. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Ability to synthesize abstract complex information into clear messages to create impactful presentations. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with the executive offices Intel-wide. Qualifications: PhD or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering 20+ years of industry and leadership experience including direct experience in foundry, EDA, and design enablement 15+ years of experience managing multi-level and cross-site global engineering organizations.
