Responsibilities

Design and deliver features in support of new processors or enhancements for the virtual machine monitor architecture

Collaborate with a team of software engineers to maintain and develop the virtual CPU and memory aspects of the platform

Work on CPU feature enablement, confidential computing, and memory virtualization/management

Implement upcoming CPU instruction set updates in a virtualization context

Propose design roadmaps and lead technical efforts for more senior roles

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience

Proficiency in C and assembly programming

Experience working on kernel and/or virtualization space

Deep understanding of x86_64 CPU architecture

Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with low-level OS kernel internals and system software

Familiarity with memory management and resource management within virtualization contexts

Previous experience in contributing to virtualization technology and enhancements
