Paralegal - Trademark
to join our team in Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, or San Francisco offices. The position offers the flexibility to be fully remote while remaining within reasonable commuting distance from any of our offices. The firm is a full-service law firm with offices across the United States. The Seattle Office is seeking an experienced paralegal to support its trademark practice, primarily managing and maintaining client trademark portfolios (domestic and foreign) of varying sizes. This role provides project management and paralegal support to attorneys in trademark law and requires the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with attorneys and staff. Responsibilities
Handle all aspects of U.S. trademark prosecution and maintenance, including preparing, filing and docketing trademark applications; responding to PTO office actions; preparing and filing renewals and declarations of use; collecting evidence of use; drafting client correspondence; recording assignments and other documents; copyright searching and filing. Instruct and work with foreign counsel on clearance, trademark filings, office actions, renewals and other prosecution and conflict matters. Monitor and assist with enforcement activities related to protected brands, including docketing and tracking deadlines, investigating possible trademark infringement, assisting with cease & desist letters, and drafting documents for filing with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Perform internet research projects and other special projects as needed. Perform and review trademark and copyright searches. Generate and edit status reports. Provide support to trademark practitioners in other offices as needed. Identify and document standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
5+ years of paralegal experience is required. Prior experience with trademark prosecution, searching, enforcement, and/or trademark litigation is required. Bachelor’s degree and completion of a paralegal program, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and skill, is strongly preferred. Strong time and task management skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality client service. Post-college level writing and oral communication skills. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for creating/editing complex documents and emails. Proficiency in computerized legal research and document retention databases for fact and legal research and managing complex files. Advanced proficiency in docketing software.

Salary by Location
Washington: $87,000 to $128,000 annually ($44.62 to $65.64 hourly). California (Los Angeles): $85,000 to $139,000 annually ($43.59 to $71.28 hourly). California (San Francisco): $106,000 to $140,000 annually ($54.36 to $71.79 hourly). Pay may vary based on experience and other factors. Benefits available to full-time employees include health, dental, vision, HSA options, long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, 401(k), vacation, sick time, holidays, and more. Commuter and transit programs are available.
