Job Summary

The Aftermarket Sales Territory Manager (Oregon/SW Washington) is accountable for consistent and sustainable sales growth; engaging SKF Authorized Distributors, Channel Partners and End Users with a focus on deepening and expanding the customer relationship. This technical sales role is responsible for securing SKF’s position with customers on new products and applications, executing flawless customer experience, and serving as the primary contact for distributors and end-users in the defined sales area. The role covers both retention of existing core business and development/conversion of new opportunities, acting as the key liaison for field-based sales activities and ensuring SKF resources (CS, AE, Marketing, etc.) are leveraged in support of aftermarket business.

Main Responsibilities

Deliver consistent year-over-year sustainable profit growth within the assigned portfolio of business Actively manage daily engagement of SKF Authorized Distributors, Channel Partners and end-users to drive sales growth, expand product offerings, and ensure a flawless customer experience Build, deepen and sustain customer relationships Enhance, broaden, and deepen key customer relationships that lead to business growth; provide proactive customer relations Consult with customers, their sales teams and engineers to understand requirements and determine system needs to support sales and customer experience Recommend improved materials or machinery emphasizing lower cost or increased production Be recognized by customers as a trusted advisor; help them achieve KPIs Provide strong technical support to distributor and end-user accounts Be the preferred technical partner for distributors and end-user customers in the defined sales area Provide basic/intermediate level technical support; escalate to Application Engineers for higher-level issues Proactively perform application reviews for new opportunities; propose SKF solutions Troubleshoot existing applications and define upgrade options Assess competitive share-shift opportunities and promote SKF alternatives Document sales opportunities in the sales funnel in line with SKF strategies Maintain technical contacts to generate opportunities in the defined sales area Develop and execute cross-functional go-to-market strategy with internal and external stakeholders Strong customer account management to protect existing business and drive growth Use Sales Excellence processes in offer development and presentations Plan and modify products to meet customer needs Secure growth and retention orders and ensure timely delivery

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience Strong commercial and technical/mechanical aptitude General industry knowledge with ability to communicate technical details Ability to answer technical questions using SKF catalogs for bearings, seals and maintenance products Knowledge of lubrication methods and practices; bearing failures and failure analysis Ability to troubleshoot applications and coordinate with Application Engineers as needed Ability to inspect bearings and determine rework or scrap decisions Strong organizational, time management and sales planning skills Entrepreneurial spirit; self-motivated and driven to win Willingness to travel 50-70% domestically Proficient with SKF tools and systems (C4C, Illuminate, Microsoft Suite, PTPlace, DeliveryData.net, SKFiOS, etc.)
