Thermo Fisher Scientific offers coordinated solutions, instrument, and enterprise services to our customers. You will lead all aspects of field service support and customer relationship management. What you will do

Perform on-site installation, repair, maintenance, qualification, and validation of Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry systems Be client-focused, working with other ULS teams and Sales Proficiently use customer management software to track service calls, manage parts inventories, and complete tasks Review reports and documentation from customers; inspect malfunctioning products to determine the nature and scope of problems Analyze findings to determine source of problems and recommend repair, replacement, or other corrective action Coordinate problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs Analyze chemistry and instrument reports to diagnose technical or application problems Provide a communication link between the customer and the company to ensure effective service Develop and conduct training on the safe operation of equipment and demonstrate skills to trainees (team members and customers) Other duties may be assigned Education

Associates Degree or high school diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant experience; Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Sciences or related field is highly preferred Experience

5+ years hands-on experience as a Service Engineer preferred or 3+ years experience with scientific/medical equipment Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation – Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry systems preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Effective communication and the ability to establish good customer rapport Ability to prioritize service requests and produce clear, concise documentation Willingness to travel overnight up to 25% within the territory or other areas as required (possibly more for training and initial certifications) Ability to safely lift 50 lbs with assistance occasionally Ability to safely lift and carry 25–30 lbs continuously Ability to bend, squat, stretch, and reach daily in a service function Ability to travel overnight at a minimum of 10% after initial training Maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving record Regular and reliable attendance Benefits
